A small group of us are going to a Mexican restaurant in mid-town New York for dinner and in honor of Michael because he liked Mexican food .  Then I'll be going over to the Apollo theater in Harlem to participate in WC event. 

The very first year 6/25/09 I went to the Apollo all by myself - I had heard about this "World Cry"  event and I had to do something and be around people that loved Michael  -. I had not meant any fans in New York at that time. Most of the fans I had become close to were from forums and the majority were at Forest Lawn.  I remember walking up to the Apollo and seeing about 30 people outside, dancin, singing  and taking pictures. It seemed like people new each other and here I was alone. On a fence next to the Apollo, fans placed cards with messages to Michael (me too); also someone had secured a large cardboard poster so we could write our note of love to Michael.  Out of the corner of my I noticed this couple clinging to each other for dear life, the expression on their faces touched me so much - the way they looked really broke my heart, they noticed me and asked me where they could get flowers  in the area.  I told them where to go but before they walked away they posted this large poster on which they wrote a beautiful letter of love and thanks to Michael.. they also had pictures taken with MJ on the board, I asked them did you know Michael?.. I almost felt like I was intruding on their grief, but they were very kind and said yes, and said it was a long story and shared one or two stories.... but the boyfriend said to me , Michael taught us so much and he taught me how to love unconditionally, by this time all three of us were over in a corner sobbing. We said our goodbyes as they went to buy flowers.  i walked back over to the crowd and someone handed me a white ballon and a candle...the song began and we sang CRY.... and we let the ballons go... I remember by this time I was a total mess and really felt all alone..as I looked up to the sky there was one single white ballon flying so slowly up towards heaven..it felt to me anyway, that it was saying "goodbye"...and then it disappeared in the dark sky..then more people started coming up the street and then the Michael's music began to play and memorial celebration started..but for some reason, i wanted to be by myself with my thoughts and broken heart. I walked back to the train and cried all the way home....the first year was the worst... for the past two years I was at Forest Lawn.. it will be a nice change even though bittersweet to be in New York this year the difference is I know so many great fans here now, and we will celebrate and honor Michael's passing this year .. and forever more.




that day will be here soon, but it's part of my life's experience now...as long as I'm with fans I will not be alone...RIP Michael I love you most of all

He did indeed, besides the aroma of the beautiful aftershaves he wore too. A guy that smells clean and like he's just walked out of a laundry, can't come better than that

omg how do u know???? and don't forget the perfumes! which did he wear? i always thought he would smell like my candle! IDK why but everytime i smell it i get a tingly feeling and i immediatly think of him? what does that mean?

Me too midangerous.  I just bought a new pink pillar candle today. I've just sent my flower order in as well to the FL shop and on the evening on the 25th I'll be releasing the chinease heart lantern into the night sky (weather permitting lol) I was just talking to WATW about our mad climate  so just hope that it stays calm and dry! I don't want to set fire to any trees around here otherwise I'll get done for arson lol!

Well, girls, I am in Buenos Aires, so as you can see I am really very far away to visit Mike at FL. One of my friends who lives really near will take the roses I bought for him. I am glad he will have lots this year.

With some of my friends we are going to light candles for him at home and I always do something special for his anniversary.  I have a crystal sunflower and I always light it up all along the day from  the time of Mike's passing till midnight. It is a nice symbol to me. I will always keep Michael alive in my heart. Forever.

i know capricious!  do i light the candle and play cry at exactly 4:26 (my time)? and then do i blow the candle out after the song is over? or do i leave it burning for the reast of the day?
i want to make sure i do it right.

what video? i thought i put in my CD? lol

so where is this video that i watch?
i was going to go into my room shut the door, sit on my bed and put in my Invincible album and skip to Cry and light my candle and press play and sing? then i might play man in the mirror just because lol
is that what i do?

hey admin, do i do the MJWC here on this forum? like play the video and sing the lyrics thats above? cause if i do i'll bring my candle in here (my computer room)
