Sculpture Looks Like MJ When Light Is Shown On It.

Paper and plants are repurposed with style by Dutch artist Diet Wegman in an innovative collection of sculptures that use light and angle in a creative manner.
At first glance, the pieces might look simply like selections from the contents of a landfill. However, when illuminated in the correct fashion, they become much more aesthetically appealing and recognizable.
The works, which are composed of matter such as rolled up paper, use light to transform these apparent piles of garbage into shadows of celebrated figures and items. Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ pose is recreated, as are the famed Renaissance artworks ‘David’ and ‘Venus De Milo.’
The shadow of a chair is carefully engineered, while that of a globe is projected from bits of plant strategically placed on a silver dish and a spatula. A total of 38 such sculptures are available to peruse on his blog.
Wiegman has been fashioning these unique items since the 1980s, and has worked with other, more traditional, mediums, like ceramics and paint during the course of his almost 50 year career. The repurposed rubbish theme was also featured by artists Tim Noble and Sue Webster, albeit significantly later.

Wow how about that! Amazing artistry huh? I keep looking at the sculpture then back at the shadow and twisting my self around trying to get the right angle of viewing it (I look like a nut lol) when I know you can't really do that lol!
