Conrad Murray to leave jail in October
July 27 2013
Dr. Conrad Murray will leave prison in October, less than halfway through her four-year sentence for the involuntary manslaughter of Michael Jackson.
Dr. Conrad Murray will be released from prison on October 28.
The disgraced doctor has been granted early release and will leave Los Angeles County Jail in three months time, having served less than half of his four-year sentence for the involuntary manslaughter of Michael Jackson.
Murray - who administered the fatal dose of anaesthetic Propofol which killed the King of Pop in June 2009 - was convicted in November 2011 and has spent his sentence in solitary confinement, but with access to a TV and mobile phone.
He has been granted early release for his good conduct behind bars and to ease the burden on the prison system.
A source said: ''He has been a model inmate and the authorities have granted him an early release due to that good behaviour and the overcrowded California jail system.''
However, the decision to release Murray has infuriated the 'Thriller' star's family, including his children Prince, 16, Paris, 15, and 11-year-old Blanket.
Michael's mother Katherine said: ''It is not right I will never be able to see my son again, while his mother can see him.''
A source added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: ''Murray is the killer of Michael in their eyes. He cost them their son and father.
''For him to get out in two years is an insult. They still feel he should have been tried for murder.''

Personal note: Right now I cannot even put this into words. I will soon though. I will have plenty to say after I stop reeling from this reality. I knew it was October but this is just too much. Suffice it to say, I and other CA taxpayers will be footing a HUGE bill again after his release for the massive security he will need to leave that LA county jail.
I have to correct this: "Dr. Conrad Murray will leave prison in October, less than halfway through her four-year sentence for the involuntary manslaughter of Michael Jackson."
He has NEVER been in prison number one. And he is a "he" not a "her" smh

It is really infuriating. Don't worry though, one day he'll get his, I am a firm believer that there's a special place in hell for people like Murray. And that is worse than any jail sentence could ever be.

What also pisses me off, as well as him out too soon, is he still takes NO responsibility for his actions. That's a real problem for me. He's such a narcisiss he doesn't think he did nothing wrong. He's an a**hole. This guy will be known forever as the "killer of Michael Jackson." When he does get out it's going to suck to be him. I bet you anything his face is going to be all over TV talkshows spouting his lies and tales of whoa and how he's the victim. I hope that I'm wrong. He needs to go somwhere and humble himself. I despise him

I agree Les-He is not human in any way. I think he will leave to hide out. I am going to try to get in touch with Judge Walgren and ask what is the plan if he knows about whether the CA taxpayers will have to foot yet another bill to secure him upon his release. That on top of all the money we already had to pay out here in CA because of his whining and sissy *** nonsense is another smack in the face if we have to pay for his security too. I can't imagine he will do interviews-he has no money and won't have the massive security to protect him when he is out in public.

Re: Conrad Murray to leave jail on October 28, 2013
I want to say a few things about this release:
DDA Walgren would have charged higher if he knew what they found out by the end of the CM trial. There was no way to know when the charges were filed that the trial was going to be delayed as it was. If it would have taken place in April 2011 as it was scheduled to originally (had a jury selected etc...) At that point the new law that went into effect 10/10/11 would not have affected CM. The only criminals that were affected by this law to step down the incarcerations to CA county jails from CA corrections were those who were convicted of "non serious" offenses. Voluntary manslaughter is classified as "serious" - where IM isn't.
This bothered Judge Michael Pastor immensely in CM's case. The LA DA was supposed to (with DDA's Walgren and Brazil) attempt to get this case (CM) looked at as an exception to this classification and get him sentenced as Pastor intended to a max of 4 years in CA prison. I kept up with this to find out that in fact was not moved forward. Pastor and Walgren made every attempt on sentencing day to lay the foundation for this and they did get it on the record. I was extremely upset that this special consideration for CM's case to be considered as a "serious" felony didn’t go forward.
When the DA brought the involuntary manslaughter charge he didn’t think they could meet the elements of a higher charge. They believed he may be acquitted so they under charged CM as they believed a jury in LA would bring the conviction. Walgren’s feelings on that at the outset were statistically based as MD’s in LA had a much lower conviction rate for higher homicide charges when they felt it would be an uphill battle to prove the case. (No slam dunk).
I believe Walgren did an amazing job and is a hero in this CM conviction as much as Mesereau was a hero in the MJ case in winning his NOT GUILTY acquittal. It is so sad though that they did not charge higher as by the end they had met the elements of the higher charge/s. Many legal experts believe the charge of M2 elements were met by the end of the trial.
We all believe (IMO) that CM did deserve a much harsher punishment. I think we all also know that he will NEVER have a normal life again. His life will likely be a living hell on earth. At least I hope so.
