PRINCE sang two Michael Jackson songs at Concert Mohegan Sun, CT 12/28
Hi wanted to share an amazing show I saw this past Friday night 12/27 in Connecticut at Mohegan Sun (resort and casino)
- Prince (rogers Nelson) the Purple Highness and his band the New Power Generation were in full effect and top musical form! I have always been a Prince fan, in my opinion I believe he is also a musical prodigy and genius. The man is amazing and is still HOT! Friday night's show was nothing less than a house party... I danced non-stop and so did the sold out crowd. Prince did many of his classics but the man's catalog is so extensive he couldn't do all in one night. He came back for 2 encores, and the last was Purple Rain, AMAZING AMAZING performance and that falsetto voice is still in perfect pitch. During the end of our show Prince paid tribute to James Brown and Curtis Mayfield. Like Michael, Prince was a "protege" sort of of Mr. Brown. Prince put the funk in funky! I am still zooming off of that night. Saturday night, I didn't go even though I wouldn't have minded at all seeing Prince again, he was that great people. But I heard from other MJ fans that went, that Prince paid tribute to Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5 (LOVE IT!!). I know one song he performed was Dancing Machine, I can't remember the other but I think it was Don't Stop til you get Enough OMG! While watching the show Friday, I had the feeling Prince was going to mention Michael, but he didn't so I was over the top overjoyed to hear during Saturday's concert, Prince mentioned with much respect one of the greatest performers and good people of my generation our dear angel Michael. You know I don't care what the rumors were or whatever, I believe in my heart, Michael and Prince if not best friends in the world, truly respected each other as performers and ambassadors of GREAT MUSIC! If you never saw Prince perform, can I just say if ever in your area - you got to see this power house performer. This was my 2nd time in life seeing Prince in concert (the first was in the early 90's) and I am ready to rock out a 3rd time. Also, when Prince came back for his first encore, he wore a black fedora I was like hmmmm- I wonder......

You saw Prince Les? Dagonne girl-very cool!
Tell US more about it!!!!!
About wearing the fedora, only Prince can do that and be about respect for MJ. Not the other little boys who are wanna be's. Prince imo was paying straight up homage without words with that gesture.

That guy has had me confused for years No disrespect to those who love Prince but I always thought he loved himself more than our Michael. I remember in an interview during the early 90's where Prince once said "Michael Jackson???? "I'll always better than him.
Sorry to say this but that so p!**ed me off when I heard him slate Michael like that because I was of the impression he liked him I know Michael liked Prince though I don't want to knock his music, I like his music, I just don't care for his attitude. He came across as an arrogant little sh!t. Sorry LJSMSMJ I know you admire him, no offense. I'm glad you enjoyed his show
