Precious Remembrance - A Poem

Precious Remembrance

It's the start of summer and the sun is high
just as it was on the day Michael died
I keep looking at the sky and asking why
hoping I might see our angel passing by

With hand over heart, we can't be far apart
If I trade in my tears and learn to smile
perhaps he will appear in just a little while
Michael said angels respond to joy
We must call him with the happiness
he missed out on as a boy

Find our lost childhood - embrace it with pride
Release it from the chains that locked it inside

Michael was Peter Pan and will find us one day
And we will celebrate with him in joyful play

Neverland lives...in the eyes and soul of an angel.
