Michael Jackson "One" Premiere Performance MJ Fan~mily Meetup! June 25-28, 2013
This news was anticipated for quite awhile and now that it is MJ Estate endorsed and officially announced by the Estate and CDS, a very devoted group of Michael Jackson fans are planning a Premiere weekend meetup in Las Vegas, NV. Details are coming together now that we know the exact week coincides with June 25, 2013 (4th Anniversary of Michael's passing). Many will again travel to Forest Lawn on or around 6/25 so there will be people going to LV from Glendale/LA, CA.
I decided to post this here to invite anyone interested to send me a PM where more details can be shared. This will be an amazing MJ Fan~mily experience that will make lifetime memories! If you prefer please just list your username in this thread and I can PM information to you.

Las Vegas, February 21, 2013 – The Estate of Michael Jackson and Cirque du Soleil today unveiled that Michael Jackson ONE™ will open and take residency exclusively at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino this summer. Directed by Jamie King, Michael Jackson ONE will start its preview performances on May 23, 2013 and have its official premiere on June 29, 2013. This entirely new show is the second creative project to be developed between Cirque du Soleil and The Estate of Michael Jackson after the top grossing Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour, currently playing arenas in Europe as it travels the world.
The show
Michael Jackson ONE is a state-of-the-art visual and audio experience creating a theatrical evocation of Michael’s creative genius. Guided and inspired by his music, four misfits set out on a transformative adventure. By journey's end, they will personify Michael's agility, courage, playfulness and love.
The name
Michael Jackson believed that all people are unique and equal, regardless of race or culture. His message was one of unity, harmony and hope for a better world. At once evocative and enigmatic, the name Michael Jackson ONE also presents a paradox: Michael was a multifaceted artist who strove to fuse together various musical styles and art forms. It is a fitting title for a unifying journey into the world of the King of Pop, the genius, the visionary, the One.
“This is our second project with the Estate of Michael Jackson which confirms how stimulating this creative partnership was meant to be”, said Daniel Lamarre, President and CEO of Cirque du Soleil. “Michael Jackson is an all-time phenomenal artist, both timeless and contemporary. I really wish that I could go to this, but my boyfriend and I have already made plans for the end of June to go to Florida where his family lives and I absolutely cannot get out of it.

Hi Fam! I wanted to let you know that opening night is June 29th. However and very dissappointingly the fans (and general public) cannot get tickets for opening night. That night is for media (??) and VIP guests only. That for me sucks big time because there's only one opening night and we should be able to attend. C'est la vie. I contacted Cirque to confirm and I received an email from them stating the 29th is for Media and VIP only. It's dissappointing because myself and other fans attended opening night for Immortal in Vegas. It was a special evening - because I met Mrs. Jackson and Prince, Paris and Blanket walked right in front of us. Also in attendance that night was Carlos Santana and the Jackson Bros. Plus your's truly was interviewed by a Japanese news channel about Immortal - of course I rambled on and on and on lol! (hmm the interviewer was really cute too !). So it was a memorable evening. With that said I will be going on June 28th. For those interested, the foudner of Michael Jackson Fans of New York is planning a huge "Michael Jackosn fan" party in Vegas on June 29th. When I get futher details I'll be most delighted to share. Ain't nothing better than a group of Michael Jackson fans celebrating our hero together.
