Attorney: Paris Jackson hospitalized but OK

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The 15-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson is physically fine after being taken to a hospital early Wednesday, an attorney for Jackson's mother said.
Perry Sanders Jr. wrote in a statement to The Associated Press that Paris Jackson is getting appropriate medical attention and the family is seeking privacy.
"Being a sensitive 15 year old is difficult no matter who you are," he wrote. "It is especially difficult when you lose the person closest to you. Paris is physically fine and is getting appropriate medical attention. Please respect her privacy and the family's privacy."
Sanders declined further comment on Paris' condition or the circumstances that led to her hospitalization.
Fire and sheriff's officials confirmed they transported someone from a home in Paris' suburban Calabasas neighborhood for a possible overdose but did not release any identifying information or additional details.
Paris frequently posts messages about her life on Twitter, where she has more than a million followers.
One of her most recent posts was from the Beatles' song "Yesterday": "yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away now it looks as though they're here to stay." Another post included the question, "I wonder why tears are salty?"
A 20-minute video of the teen applying makeup was posted to YouTube last week. Paris says on Twitter she doesn't know how the video, in which she repeatedly asserts, "I am so weird," ended up on the site.
"I hope you guys liked it tho and didn't think i'm too crazy," she wrote. "i get weird when i'm not around people lol."
Katherine Jackson shares guardianship of her son's three children — Paris and her brothers Prince, 16, and Blanket, 11 — with the singer's nephew, TJ Jackson.
Messages left for TJ Jackson's attorney were not immediately returned.
"We appreciate everyone's thoughts for Paris at this time and their respect for the family's privacy," Debbie Rowe's attorney Eric George wrote in a statement.
Michael Jackson kept his children out of the spotlight during his lifetime. After his death from an overdose of the anesthetic propofol in June 2009, the children took on a more public life, appearing at memorials and commemorations of their father.
The children are listed as plaintiffs in a lawsuit filed by their grandmother against concert giant AEG Live LLC, who she claims is responsible for her son's death. Katherine Jackson's lawsuit claims AEG failed to properly investigate the doctor convicted of causing the singer's death, and pushed the superstar to rehearse and perform a planned series of 50 comeback shows titled "This Is It."
Paris and Prince are listed as potential witnesses in the case, which is in its sixth week of trial.
Katherine Jackson's trial attorney, Brian Panish, declined comment Wednesday morning on Paris Jackson's condition. Her hospitalization came hours after AEG Live's CEO Randy Phillips told a jury that he believed the lawsuit was a shakedown and extortion attempt and that the company should not be held responsible for Michael Jackson's death.

Personal note: My heart is so heavy today with this news. Paris is crying out for help and as a med pro I know that now while she is in the hospital (more than likely on a locked unit with a team of mental health RN's and MD's) she will be evaluated and treated appropriately. I hope the med team can get through to the Jackson fam to protect Paris (and the other kids) to monitor usage or eliminate all social media from now on while they are all under 18. Her twitter account needs to be deleted immediately IMO. She receives a lot of bashing from jealous idiots and this is not cool! NO HATE!

I'm glad she's ok, and I hope that she is getting the medical help she needs, but imo, I don't think she needs to delete her twitter account, but she does need a break from there for a while.

I don't think it matters on whether she should delete her twitter account or not, or be pulled out of school, whatever the problem may be, I just hope and pray that she gets through all of this, and that her family stands by and supports her. I'm very deeply saddened about all of this.

My heart breaks for Paris. We've all seen the hate that is directed at her, her father and her family and we know how much it hurts us. I can't imagine what it's done to her as a young girl who adores her father. How alone she must feel just like her daddy. So much tragedy. I pray for her medical team and family to give her the strength, healing and love to get her through this.

Today there should have been a hearing at the hospital to determine what will be decided regarding Paris' discharge from the hospital from the 72 hour psychiatric hold. I looked for info but there is only something out there about she may be held another week. She may not be going back to KJ's house in Calabasas so there are definitely changes in the midst.

I haven't seen anything about her discharge yet but it has been confirmed that she won't be returning to Buckley. Apparently the bullying became especially cruel after the WR allegations. Prince will continue to attend but she will be home schooled according to this site:

I have to say this though, back in the day there was a swift resolution both in school (then at the student's home) for bullying and it worked! The PC public makes me sick when they are so don't do this and don't do that to teens. Teens can sometimes RUIN lives with this BS so I say BRING back the strategies that freaking work on these brats! Parents are asleep at the wheel and teachers have their hands cuffed anymore. Try throwing a few handcuffs on a few of these destructive violent teens in HS's in this country again and give them the taste of reform school for the rest of the year and see how they like being taunted and jeered and REALLY kept from doing anything they please. They will be begging to get back and behave themselves. 1-2-3 times and your OUT for ANY trouble starting. EXPELL and house them before they go too far and find themselves in a REAL prison for actions they often end up doing! Teen criminals need to be moved on and removed from decent populations of the good kids in schools.
STOP THE BULLYING! NO HATE!!

Kids can be very mean sometimes, I've had a little bit of this experience when I was a kid. I hope that Paris will be able to attend a school where she could be happy and not bullied. Maybe like that article says above, an art high school where she can hang out with other kids that love the same things she does.
