@MJ Mod: TY so much for these great 2012 Olympics threads-That schedule is perfection-I really appreciate all the work you put into that-I can just choose the events I want to see and there is the schedule-that is really cool!

Looks like the opening ceremony is about to begin in about 45 minutes-I love that - all the flags and the torch-I wonder who is lighting that torch this year?

No offense to the UK meant here but IMO that opening ceremony was not what most countries choose to depict for the Olympics-just saying-it was kind of dark and showed a political edge - what with the red coats and all-this is supposed to be about good sportsmanship-fair competition and NO political anything for 17 days for ALL countries-

That men's water polo game against Montenagro today was amazing! It was super close the whole time and a really great game.

I'm watching it right now-we won 1st 2 sets - lost the 3rd-in the 4th with USA 16-BRZ 13 - go Team USA!!

These O-games are really exciting-so much behind the scenes drama though-as usual the media pump up the volume on the garbage-when will they learn-people want the happy postive angles in the news-not the sad negative stuff-

The VB and swimming events are rocking these last couple of days though WOW!!

I'm really proud of the USA Women's Basketball team, they scored 90! against Angola today!

OK - one word: Roger Federer!! WOW!! 4 hours 25 mins this AM for 3 sets -won them 2-1 - he is going for GOLD!! What a tennis match today - stellar!

Phelps is - well - gotta go there again -a FISH!! lol 18 Gold's and counting for his Olympic career-the winningest medalist ever!!

Did anyone see the Russian synch. swimmers tribute to MJ? I'm going to try to find an article or video and post it in the info. thread. I saw the last 2 performances in synch. swimming today but not the MJ one. Here's a pix of their swimsuits:

@MJ Mod- WOW that is so cool! My mom mentioned something about the MJ swim to me tonight- I'm kinda mad I missed that- I've been watching all the olympics coverage I possibly can and I cannot believe I didn't see the MJ synch. swim!

@CSLMJ: Have you been watching the equestrian events? I have been trying to catch them-watching the "jumping finals" this morning-The horses are so beautiful! Netherlands leading thus far-Kingdom of SA tied for 1st from time trials - now in 2nd - although Ireland and 5 others still to compete-I think Sweden is coming up! Wow Ireland just tied for 1st (Gold) Now France - lol--oops dropped two rails

Have you seen the cool hurtles? The "Abbey Road" and "The Tower Bridge and I think the ship is "The Queen Mary" and "Buckingham Palace" and the "Knights" -so artistic!!
