Murray Wants to get his medical license back.
CONRAD MURRAY
I WANT TO PRACTICE MEDICINE AGAIN
Dr. Conrad Murray will make his move after his release from jail in 2 weeks ... and sources tell TMZ, he's vowing to break back into the business of doctoring.
Sources directly connected with Murray tell us ... he plans to fight the revocation of his license in Texas. As for California ... revocation proceedings are on hold, but we're told he will fight that as well -- partly on grounds that he was singled out for unfair treatment because the patient -- Michael Jackson -- was incredibly famous.
Fact is ... Murray has practiced for 20 years and aside from the Propofol disaster, his record is unblemished. In fact, Murray has a legion of loyal patients who actually demonstrated on his behalf and were more than willing to fly from Texas to California to support him in court.
Murray is also taking solace in the fact that the jury in the MJ wrongful death trial concluded AEG was not off base in hiring him because he was a competent general practitioner.
Short story -- Murray has a built-in patient base if he can get his license back.
If he can't practice in the U.S., we're told he's not foreclosing the possibility of practicing out of the country.
Our sources say when Murray gets out of jail on October 28, he'll go off the radar for several weeks and then make his move.
When Murray resurfaces ... we're told he will fight fiercely to regain the right to practice medicine.

Murray is such a dishonest, awful, poor imitation of a human being. Can't he realise that due to his malpractice he killed the most wonderful person ever?
I hate Murray and I will hate him forever.

Doctor jailed in Michael Jackson’s OD death will soon be free, wants to practice medicine

With less than two weeks of prison time left to serve, Michael Jackson’s one-time personal doctor is planning a “private” reunion with his family and preparing legal action to revive his medical career, lawyers told the Daily News.
Conrad Murray is due to be released from a Los Angeles County lockup on Oct. 28, and will focus initially on reconnecting with loved ones, said Valerie Wass, the California-based lawyer handling the appeal of his conviction for involuntary manslaughter.
“His home is with his girlfriend and their 4-year old son,” Wass said Wednesday. “He hasn’t decided yet where they’re going to live when he gets out, but that is his first priority. He needs to spend some time re-adjusting to life as a free man.”
Murray, 60, was sentenced on Nov. 29, 2011 to 4 years in prison for providing the iconic singer with the surgery-strength anesthetic on which he fatally overdosed in 2009. But due to a program to alleviate overcrowding in California’s jails and prisons, Murray was given one year of credit for each year served, effectively cutting his sentence in half.
Wass said Murray’s actress girlfriend, Nicole Alvarez, has visited him weekly while he has been behind bars, but each time they’ve seen each other over the last two years they have been separated by a glass panel.
After some time “acclimating,” Murray wants to tell his story and fight for his white coat, she said.
“He definitely wants to practice medicine again, he’s just not sure where that will be,” Wass said.
Murray, a cardiologist who previously worked in Houston, Texas, held medical licenses in Texas, California, Hawaii and Nevada prior to his conviction.
Murray’s Houston-based lawyer, Charles Peckham, said he plans to meet with the cardiologist in the coming weeks and plan new legal action to overturn the revocation of his medical license in Texas, the state where he had a clinic serving many low-income patients.
Texas was the first state to revoke Murray’s medical license in August, and Peckham said he’ll file a civil lawsuit on Murray’s behalf to overturn the decision if officials aren’t swayed by an internal, administrative appeal. Peckham said the state court lawsuit could be filed by the end of the year.
“I am certain that Dr. Murray has a great deal to offer to medicine and will end up practicing again in the future,” Peckham told The News.
“If it’s in Texas, that’s wonderful,” he said. “If it’s in the U.S., that’s wonderful. If it’s elsewhere, outside the United States, then those patients will get the benefit of his kindness and expertise.”
Peckham said Texas automatically revoked Dr. Murray’s license based on his felony conviction, and the lawyer argued that such a move was improper because California law holds that such a criminal conviction isn’t final until all appeals are exhausted. The appeal of the conviction remains ongoing.
Peckham said Murray previously agreed not to practice medicine in Texas pending resolution of the criminal case, and that position hasn’t changed.
California’s Medial Board has filed its own petition to revoke Murray’s license, but it is essentially on hold while the appeal of the conviction is pending — a process that could take years, his lawyers said.
“He’s going to keep fighting in every way possible,” Wass, the lawyer handling the appeal of the conviction, said of that process. “If he doesn’t receive favorable results in the Court of Appeal, he plans to go to the California Supreme Court and federal court if need be.”
Murray let his medical licenses in Nevada and Hawaii lapse.
Wass said that Murray “has never wavered” in his position that he was not responsible for the King of Pop’s fatal overdose in June 2009.
But a jury found him guilty of involuntary manslaughter for providing the surgery-strength anesthetic propofol to Jackson as an off-label sleep aid, and administering it to the “Thriller” singer in the private bedroom of his California mansion.
In a June 2012 filing to revoke Murray’s California medical license, the state’s medical board called Dr. Murray’s actions “grossly negligent.”
“(Murray) administered a lethal combination and amount of drugs to patient M.J. He failed to continuously monitor the patient’s vital signs, appropriately maintain his airway, or ensure the presence of life-saving equipment at the bedside,” Linda Whitney, Executive Director of the Medical Board of California, wrote.
Wass said Murray acknowledged giving Jackson propofol multiple times in June 2009 but remains adamant that he did not cause the Gloved One’s death.
“He’s always maintained Jackson was not on a drip (system that administered the drug), and that Jackson self-injected the lethal dose of propofol,” Wass said Wednesday.
“When he gets out, he’s going to continue to fight and tell his story,” she added.
“He’s a compassionate, kind, intelligent man who has a lot of patients [who are] very supportive of him,” she said. “The felony conviction on his record is a big deterrent from doing a lot of things in life. He wants to get rid of that stigma.”
