Hello Back from Hurricane Sandy!

Hello Family! Hope you are all well. I was out of commission for awhile during hurricane sandy that hit New York, New Jersey area. If any of you have family here, I hope they are safe and sound.
I was very fortunate to have had no major interruptions other than subway service closing down. My electricity never went down thank God.
Many people have lost there homes; and sad to say there were some fatalities as well. I am blessed to be here.
There are many places looking for donations. I would say if you want to contribute the Red Cross is a safe place.

My subway is back in service. However, the A & C lines are extra crowded which I guess is expected under the circumstances. Behind my office bldg is the Atlantic Ocean, which flooded the area (Battery Park). The building had no electricity. Today is my first day back at work, but there is no heat. I have a scarf on and my little tootsies and my fingers are cold. There is also a little mouse running amok on the floor - how that little mousey got up here on the 30th floor, go figure? Thanks, it is good to be back and connected. A week without MJ family is like a week without Sunshine for sure!

There is a thread devoted to the relief effort too-donations NEEDED everyone!!
I have been searching thru all the Jersey shore-Brooklyn papers etc.. and the latest news a day ago was 11/9 to restore power(on ConED and The weather.com for Brooklyn) TG you kept power but it is COLD in lower Manhatten so those freaking generators Bloomberg STILL has for the (canceled) marathon need to be used to warm NYC and affected areas people! Those GD generators and pallets of water and 10,000 space blankets are STILL sitting there for those marathoners-----wtf?

shameful isn't it. ALL I WANT TO SAY IS THEY DON'T REALLY CARE ABOUT US! Bloomberg was pressured into cancelling the marathon, um like, we can run next year. Sometimes it shouldn't be about money.

Oh a funny:
The MSM was reporting when the subway tubes and such were flooded that there was a fear that the rats would float up and out onto the lower NYC streets and start freaking everybody out! Then the next minute-they reported wait! No! They would probably all drown because they were surprised by the swiftness of the influx of the water lol!

Well the little mousy that's been running amok on our floor missed the broadcast nor did it drown but rather scampered his nasty little behind up to the 30th floor. ewwww
