RED CROSS DISASTER RELIEF ~ HURRICANE SANDY DONATION INFO
The Hurricane Sandy (Superstorm Sandy) Aftermath is growing worse by the day-even though the news reports are espousing all the 'politically correct' actions that the politicians and most MSM reports are reporting is on track and easing the impact-it is barely even beginning to ease this GIGANTIC CATASTROPHY AFTERMATH! There are still millions without power-no gasoline getting to needy people-violence and looting is escalating and people are STILL DYING!! IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!!
After researching through the local (area by area) newspapers online-like the Brooklyn and Staten Island local news reports - I see that this is WAY more of an armegeddon scenario for these people-when an American citizen has to make a choice to not leave their home for fear of thugs stealing everything they have left from the damages already incurred - not to be able to go to work or seek assistance because of this-we as a GREAT NATION have to step up and help right? The military (National Guard) and the local police cannot handle all the problems - it is just too much and everywhere there are mounting problems!
The best most can do is to donate to several charity entities such as the Red Cross, Salvation Army and local food banks and individual locales who are setting up donation centers. I will do more research to get info about these different locales and charities that are reputable (REPUTABLE is the key).
Meanwhile here is the Red Cross info and soon I'll post the Salvation Army contact info for donations or someone else here might do this and post. You can google it too.
Here is some info:

Thank you for this information! I handed out flyers for Occupy Sandy group on Saturday. It felt good to do something even if it mean going up to perfect strangers and asking for their help.
Lot's of Michael fans in NY/NJ area are helping to get the word out...It's all for LOVE!
I am thankful...
(hugs)
