T.J. Jackson Awarded Financial Support As Co-guardian Of King Of Pop’s Kids
April 19, 2013
A Los Angeles judge has approved a request from Michael Jackson’s estate executors to award the late star’s nephew financial compensation for taking care of the King of Pop’s children.
A California judge awarded Tito Jackson’s son, T.J., and mother Katherine co-guardianship of the Thriller hitmaker’s kids, Prince, Paris and Blanket, last July following a major family feud, which began when the matriarch was reported missing during a 10-day vacation.
The 34 year old, who is married and has three children of his own, has allegedly not received any money to help cover the cost of raising his cousins, and in March, estate officials filed legal papers asking that he be handed $9,000 -a-month in parental support, stating, “The amount of time each week he dedicates to his co-guardianship duties, is an impediment to T.J. pursuing his own career and other income generating activities.”
According to TMZ.com, the request was approved last week by a Los Angeles Superior Court judge, who ruled, “(T.J.) performs valuable services for the benefit of the children and that it is in their best interests that he continue to do so.”

I have always loved the idea of TJ helping raise the kids. He needs this money to manage the day to day. It is not cheap in CA to raise 3 active teens (Blanket almost at 11 yo). Everything is so expensive from food to gasoline and all their extracurricular activities. It is so important to provide these too as it keeps young ones involved in healthy sports etc.. and also is a great way for them to keep focused on clean living and away from the underside of life (ie drugs and drinking) which is a lot of pressure for teens all over the world from peers and in so much of the movies and all the digital mediums like video games and social media.

I'm so glad that TJ is getting this monetary support to help raise MJ's kids. It surprised me that he didn't have it to begin with.
