"This Day in HIStory" July 13, 1984 ~ The Jacksons donated tix to underprivileged kids for TX concert

On July 13, 1984, the Jacksons perform concerts at Texas Stadium in Dallas, Texas.
They donated 1,200 tickets to underprivileged children, while their sponsors, Pepsi-Cola, donate an additional 1,300 tickets valued at $39,000. Security for these shows is three times that usually required for a Dallas Cowboys game, with 340 security officers on duty during the night. At the 'Friday the thirteenth' concert the stadium is full of celebrities, including Dave Lee Roth, Emmanuel Lewis and Prince. Eddie Van Halen, in Dallas for his own concert, joins Michael on stage for a 'Beat It' guest appearance playing guitar for the 14th of July show.
