UNIQUE WAYS TO USE YOUR MJ BAD PEPSI! ~ (RECIPES AND OTHER GREAT USES INSIDE!)

I know some of us don't drink regular pepsi- or may get tired of drinking the pepsi all the time- so I found a few great ideas that you can use that BAD pepsi for! Feel free to add your own ideas to this thread- they are very greatly appreciated!

For recipes that call for buttermilk- here's a fast, easy way to make a buttermilk substitute:

Milk (just under one cup)
1 Tablespoon white vinegar or lemon juice
1. Place a Tablespoon of white vinegar or lemon juice in a liquid measuring cup.
2. Add enough milk to bring the liquid up to the one-cup line.
3. Let stand for five minute. Then, use as much as your recipe calls for.

PEPSI CAKE RECIPE (also yields 3 dozen cupcakes)
If you are making the cupcakes and you don't have enough batter to fill in an entire cupcake pan- fill the unused cupcake molds with water so all of the cupcakes are evenly cooked. Also- with the cupcakes make sure you check 5-10 minutes earlier than specified in the recipe- and test with a toothpick to see if they are done.

recipe:
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 c. Pepsi Cola
3 tbsp. cocoa
2 beaten eggs
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. buttermilk in which 1 tsp. baking soda is dissolved
1 1/2 c. mini marshmallows

Sift sugar and flour together in a bowl. Bring Pepsi, cocoa and butter to boiling. Remove from the heat and add the flour and sugar mixture and stir. Add the buttermilk with the soda, eggs, and marshmallows. Pour into a well greased 9 x 13 inch pan. The marshmallows will be on the top. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.

FROSTING: Boil 6 tablespoons Pepsi, 3 tablespoons cocoa and 1 stick butter. Remove from the heat and stir in 1 pound of sifted powdered sugar. Add 1 cup chopped walnuts if desired and finally stir in 1 tablespoon vanilla. Spread immediately on cooled cake.

Pepsi floats

This one is easy:
1- take your favorite ice cream (I like french vanilla best) and put a few scoops into a large mug
2- slowly pour the pepsi on top of the ice cream

Pepsi milkshake
1/2 glass milk (chilled)
1/2 glass chilled Pepsi
1/2 tablespoon sugar (optional- it's really good with or without the sugar)

Directions:
1-Put sugar in a glass. (optional)
2-Add milk; mix well.
3-Top with pepsi and serve chilled.

PEPSI ROAST
3 lbs (approx) any kind of pork roast
1 can Pepsi or Coke
1 can Cream of Mushroom soup
1 package onion soup mix

Place pork roast in Crockpot. Mix the Coke or Pepsi with the mushroom soup and onion soup mix; and stir well. Pour over roast.
Cook on Auto if you have it on your Crockpot, if not, start on high for an hour then reduce to low.
Cook for 8-10 hours. Remove roast and carve as usual. Use juices in crockpot to make gravy.

Here's a cool thing to do for next St. Patty's day- forget green eggs and ham- I'm making some green pepsi! LOL

Ingredients:
Pepsi
Green food coloring
Blue, pink, purple and yellow sprinkles

1- Pour the Pepsi into a glass.
2- Pour some of the sprinkles in and stir with a spoon. Add some green food coloring.
3- Keep stirring and adding a little more food coloring until you've got a dark green color.
(I'm guessing you could do this with any dark-colored food coloring- but green is the one I found specifically)

Pepsi Barbecue Sauce
1 can Pepsi Cola
1 1/2 cups catsup
1 cup onion, diced
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup Heinz 57 sauce
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
Hot pepper sauce to taste

Bring all ingredients to a boil, then simmer for 1 hour

Pepsi Cola Carrot Cake

2 cup flour, sifted
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons cocoa
3 eggs
1-1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3/4 cup Pepsi-Cola
1-1/2 ts vanilla
2-1/4 cup raw carrots, grated
1 cup nuts, chopped
1 cup coconut, flaked
Pepsi Cola Syrup (see note below)
3/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoon cocoa
6 tablespoons Pepsi-Cola
6 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon light corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Mix dry ingredients; set aside. Beat eggs well; add sugar, oil, cola and vanilla and beat well. Stir in dry ingredients until smooth, then add carrots, nuts and coconut.
Bake in a greased and lightly floured 9-by-13-inch pan at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes, until cake tests done. Remove from oven and prick hot cake all over with a fork, then pour cola syrup evenly over the top. Serve warm or at room temperature with whipped cream.
To make syrup: Combine sugar, cocoa, cola, butter and corn syrup in saucepan; bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil, stirring, until thick and syrupy, about 5 minutes. Add vanilla.

Black Cherry Jello With Pepsi

2 (4 serving) pkgs. Cherry Jello
16 oz Pepsi
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 qt Black cherries -- save juice

Add water to cherry juice to equal 2 cups; bring to a boil. Add to Jello; stir until dissolved. Beat in cream cheese which has been cut into tiny cubes. Add cherries and Pepsi. Let set.

Pepsi also has other household uses due to the carbonation- such as cleaning toilets, loosening rusted bolts, and removing greece from clothes.

It can cause serious illness to over-consume any highly carbonated beverage because too much carbon dioxide is in the blood and not enough oxygen- so the pepsi is fine if just drinking a can or two or eating one of these delicious pepsi treats- but don't chug down a whole case of pepsi just to empty your cans.
Again any other ideas are greatly appreciated- now let's blast that MJ BAD album and start making these BADtastic pepsi treats! WHO'S BAD?!?!

Pepsi Chicken

2 Liter of Pepsi
10-14 Chicken Legs
2 (salad dressing sized) Bottles of BBQ Sauce
Directions:
Put all your chicken in dutch oven w/lid. Cover it with the BBQ sauce. Then add Pepsi so that the chicken is almost completely covered. Put the lid on and set the dutch oven on a hot bed of coals and cover lid with more coals. Cook 15 - 25 minutes depending on heat of fire.


You may have to add more Pepsi to cover chicken in middle of cooking. The Pepsi is added to carmelize the chicken and keep it from burning.

Pepsi Ham Glaze

6 oz. Pepsi
2 tbsp. mustard
1 tsp. ground cloves
1/4 c. brown sugar

Mix together. Keep basting ham with glaze
