There’s not enough weirdness in America, so I look forward to the opening of Lady Gaga’s Michael Jackson museum.
Yes, really.
The Poker Face singer is creating her own tourist hotspot by opening a base to showcase the £1.25million worth of Michael Jackson’s stuff she owns.
Gaga, 27, is currently seeking the backing off the estate of MJ and his kids, but is already looking for a location for the treasury.
In 2012 the singer bought 55 items from an auction of the late Bad megastar’s possessions.
Gaga now owns his famous Thriller jacket as well as a white Swarovski crystal encrusted glove (that set her back £117,800) which you’ll all soon be able to go and see.
I’m told: “Gaga is a huge Michael fan, and she feels that there needs to be a real museum to celebrate his life and work.
“She has been stocking up on items from all over the world. Some of her purchases have been under different names so that she is not overpaying for artifacts. But now she has a few pieces she is planning out the next stage of where the location for the museum should be.
“She’s considering Gary, Indiana where Jackson started his career, her hometown NYC or Los Angeles, close to his Neverland home.”
Lawyers for the estate of Michael Jackson own the rights to his music and image, so Gaga needs to get them on board if she is to make a go of things.
But she’s going the right way about it and is keeping his clobber “pristine” in a temperature controlled environment.
Gaga says: “I will put together a museum and put the money to a foundation he cares about.
“The reason I bought Michael’s clothes was because my tour clothes mean more to me than anything, my awards, records. I believe they carry the energy and memories of the night.
“With Michael’s clothes being sold when he was not here made me feel really uncomfortable, upset and I don’t why. I take care of them – they are in the right temperature
and are preserved. I have spent millions.”
She has also said of her decision to buy the collection: “I believe that the fans’ energy gets stuck in the clothes. I wanted to preserve that for him.”

Personal note: I will believe this when I see it! She may have finally listened to us about this-which in that case would be refreshing-regarding starting a MJ memorabilia museum. However she also has mentioned she needs MJE permission which she can later say if she never does a museum that she didn't get the green light. I am sending this info to the MJE so they know she is saying this and to be ready if she makes like she tried to obtain permission later. Also IF she does this I would watch just how the money she says would donate to a foundation was really being handled. Mark my word I would keep an eye on that!

Oh ok-so she caught crap from many MJ fans for her nonsense she said before about how she wore his clothes to "help" her in her recording sessions which would be why she hides her ID when she bought other MJ things? Not for a minute do I believe that! She wanted to be known that she was buying all that!

It is unlikely as she wants her name to be affiliated with MJ's with this project meaning eventual merchandising of museum store items etc.. and lots of expenses that would be incurred which would result in very little if any money going to any charities. Never gonna happen! Can you imagine tees with "Lady gaga's Michael Jackson museum teeshirts? NO!

Gag-a is losing her rep and status it seems. I don't know if this is an attempt to get MJ fans off her about her antics with his clothes she grabbed up and then went all around talk shows bragging she wears them (ugh) or/and she is falling so low in the charts and she is trying to get attention. But this is something that would be a HUGE endeavor imo and cost loads of money so unless she is prepared to pay all that herself (while losing footing in her own music career) I doubt this will ever really happen. I don't think she has the chops tbh.

Keeps his clothes in all the correct temperatures?
What the hell is that suppose to mean? FFS Miss Gargoyle.
I hope she's not planning to eventually start eating these items Who knows with her bizarre antics. If she can parade around in a dress made from slabs of steak and lamb chops, she could do anything. Jeezus.
