On July 27, 1987, Michael Jackson released his lead single off of the Bad album, "I Just Can't Stop Loving You". It was the highest debuting single on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in 1987. It debuted at #37. In it's second week, it had advanced to #16 on the Hot 100 list. In it's 7th week, it had gone to #1 on the Hot 100. "IJCSLY" also spent three weeks at #1 on Billboard's Adult Contemporary singles chart.
